Cable, wire & hose routing — the first Appendix plate. Top: handlebar leads, throttle and clutch cables, front-brake hose and switch-housing leads (callouts 1–18). Bottom: engine-top wiring and hoses around the throttle bodies (callouts 19–35). Key rules: seat each grip to its punch mark (1, 2, 8), keep the gap at the left switch-housing clamp 2–3 mm (5), and run the switch-housing leads from the headlight-upper-cover recess to the front of the steering-stem head (9, 14).

Front-brake-hose routing plate. 1 front brake-fluid reservoir · 2 = 6 mm gap between the hose and the reservoir · 3 brake hose · 4 clamp · 5 white paint mark. Hold ≈6 mm clearance (2) where the hose passes the reservoir, set each clamp (4) to its white paint mark (5), and route the hose so it is not pinched, twisted or stretched as the fork moves and the steering swings lock-to-lock.

Seat the reservoir on its frame bracket (5), connect the coolant hose (1) and the level-gauge tube (4), and fasten each clamp (2, 3, 6, 7) so no hose is kinked — a pinched coolant hose can cause overheating.

The Appendix carries 27 routing plates (pp. 17-2 … 17-55). Reassemble to these key rules: align each hose/clamp paint-mark before tightening the clamp; seat the grip up to its punch mark and align the mating surface; run the front-brake hose with ≈6 mm clearance at the reservoir; route switch-housing leads from the recess of the headlight upper cover to the front of the stem head; fit the frame-ground terminal flat-side-down; and make sure no cable, wire or hose is pinched, twisted or stretched when the steering is turned lock-to-lock. KLEEN (catalyst) models: do not run the engine with a cylinder misfiring, do not push-start with a dead battery, and do not coast with the ignition off — have a misfire corrected before riding to avoid overheating the muffler/catalyst.
